1. Would you share a bit about yourself and where you’re from?

I’m Eunice, the founder of EuniqYou, a demi-fine jewellery brand based in Singapore. Since I was young, I’ve loved experimenting with accessories, using them to transform my outfits and make my style stand out.

Jewellery, to me, has always been more than just an add-on—it’s a way to express individuality, creativity, and confidence. I was always drawn to pieces that could be styled in multiple ways, allowing me to create different looks without needing a whole new wardrobe.

2. How did all it start?

EuniqYou was born out of frustration—I could never find rings and bracelets that fit my petite size. This led me to learn jewellery-making, initially just for myself.

When friends and family started asking for custom pieces, I realised there was a gap in the market, and from there I knew I wanted to build something more—something that merged style, sustainability, and versatility.

3. Was it always the intention to become a sustainable and ethical designer?

Not at first. Initially, I was focused on creating on-trend jewellery, by hand. But as I learned more about the industry, I became aware of the environmental impact of traditional jewellery production.

That’s when I made the conscious decision to transition EuniqYou towards sustainability—choosing recycled materials, ethical sourcing, and modular designs to encourage mindful consumption.

4. What was it that first raised your awareness of the issue of fast fashion?

I’ve always been drawn to quality over quantity, but I think becoming a mother made me more conscious of the world I’m leaving behind for my children. Seeing the waste and environmental damage caused by mass production made me rethink how I wanted to build my brand. Instead of contributing to overconsumption, I wanted to design jewellery that’s timeless, versatile, and built to last.

1. Could you tell us more about your label?

EuniqYou is a demi-fine jewellery brand that blends style with sustainability. Our pieces are crafted from high-quality, responsibly sourced materials like 100% recycled silver. What makes us unique is our modular design approach—our jewellery can be styled in multiple ways, allowing women to maximise their looks with fewer pieces.

2. What is the ethos when you design? What defines your style?

I design with three core principles in mind: quality, versatility, and sustainability. Every piece should be long-lasting, effortlessly adaptable to different styles or with your personal jewellery collection, and created with minimal impact on the environment.

EuniqYou’s aesthetic is a balance of modern elegance and timeless charm. Our designs are refined yet adaptable—pieces that work just as well in a boardroom as they do at a weekend brunch.

3. What have been some of the biggest challenges for you on this journey?

One of the biggest challenges has been educating consumers about modular jewellery and sustainability. Many people are used to fast fashion’s “wear and replace” cycle, so shifting mindsets towards investing in quality, multi-functional pieces takes time. Another challenge is capital investment—bringing new designs to life while managing cash flow can be daunting.

4. What do you want to achieve personally with your brand?

Beyond sales and growth, I want EuniqYou to inspire women to embrace mindful fashion choices. I hope to build a brand that people trust—not just for beautiful jewellery, but for its values in sustainability and ethical craftsmanship.

1. How would you explain the importance of brands like yours making steps to become more ethical and sustainable to someone who isn’t well-versed in what that means?

Sustainability in fashion and jewellery isn’t just about using eco-friendly materials—it’s about making thoughtful choices that reduce waste and extend product lifespan. By choosing sustainable brands, you’re supporting responsible craftsmanship, reducing environmental harm, and investing in pieces that won’t be discarded after a season.

2. For the consumers, what are the easiest ways that we can all be more sustainable in our approach to fashion?

3. In your own eyes, how has becoming a sustainable designer changed your life?

It’s made me more intentional—not just in business, but in my daily life. I think twice before making purchases, and I prioritise longevity and purpose in everything I create. It’s also incredibly fulfilling to know that my brand aligns with my values and contributes to a positive impact.

4. People say that sustainable fashion is too expensive or too difficult to do. How do you usually respond to that?

I’d say sustainability is an investment, not an expense. While it may cost more upfront, a well-made piece lasts years—unlike fast fashion items that need frequent replacing. And as more brands adopt sustainable practices, prices are becoming more accessible. The key is shifting from a mindset of short-term consumption to long-term value.
